2020-08-31 (VT): After the five-month lockdown due to
Coronavirus Pandemic, temples in Braj will be opening on the auspicious occasion
of Anant Chaturdashi tomorrow (September 1).
On Saturday evening a
meeting was held between the receivers and managers of various temples in Braj where
it was decided that the main shrines in Govardhan, Brasana (Radharani) Gokul
and Vrindavan will be opened for public from September 1.
According to the
previous Unlock guidelines, the decision to open places of worship was left to
the respective temple management committees. As per Unlock 4.0 announced
recently, all public places such as railway stations, bus stands, banks, courts
and other administrative offices are now accessible to people. Shri Krishna
Janmasthan and Dwarkadhish Mandir in Mathura have also been allowing devotees. Considering
the situation, it was decided that it is now time for others to open as well.
The meeting was held at
Mukut Mukharvind, Govardhan. Dr. Krishna Murari Goswami (receiver, Radharani
Mandir, Barsana), R.K. Pandey (Dauji Mandir receiver), Ramakant Goswami
(receiver of Mukut Mukharvind and Harigokul Mandir), Sanjay Dixit from Gokul,
Shri Mridulkant (sevadhikari of various Vrindavan Temples), Raju Goswami, Vinay
Triptahi and Yogesh Madhusudan were present.
