Vrindavan, 2020-10-02 (VT): After a long gap of six months, Vrindavan’s Thakur Shri Radha Damodar Mandir opened for darshan on Thursday. Physical distancing and other guidelines were followed while allowing devotees inside the temple.

Mandir sevayat Kanika Prasad Goswami informed that darshan will be open from 9 to11 am in the morning and 5 to 7 pm in the evening. Only five people will be allowed inside at a time after proper thermal screening and sanitisation. Bhog-prasad, flowers, and other offerings are not being accepted at present.

However, Adhik Maas Deep Daan can be done in the evening. There are plans of celebrating all yearly festivals in the remaining days of this most sacred month.

Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, temples in Braj went into lockdown in March. Even though closed for the general public, seva-pujan for deities went on uninterrupted, except in small temples where it was hampered in minor ways due to financial difficulty.
