A travel bag containing the cash was stolen from Maluk Peeth Seva Sansthan on Wednesday night. Malukpeethadhishwar Shri Rajendra Das ji Maharaj returned to Vrindavan from Jaipur on 8th December after completing his discourse on Shrimad Bhagvatam. He received a donation of Rs. 30 lakh for Go –seva. During the shifting of luggage from car, the travel bag containing the cash was stolen.
Three arrested, stolen cash from Maluk Peeth ashram recovered





Vrindavan
Police has arrested three persons in a case of theft from Maluk Peeth Ashram of
Shri Rajendra Das ji Maharaj. A sum of
Rs. 30 lakh has been recovered and the vehicle used in the crime was seized.
A travel bag
containing the cash was stolen from Maluk Peeth Seva Sansthan on Wednesday
night. Malukpeethadhishwar Shri Rajendra Das ji Maharaj returned to Vrindavan from
Jaipur on 8th December after completing his discourse on Shrimad
Bhagvatam. He received a donation of Rs.
30 lakh for Go –seva. During the shifting of luggage from car, the travel bag
containing the cash was stolen. Shri
Gopesh Krishna Das, an associate of Maharaj ji lodged an FIR with the Vrindavan
police about the theft.
The police
checked the CCTV footage of the ashram in which they found two persons were
putting the travel bag in a black Scorpio car. Based on the tips and the car
number tracked from the CCTV footage three persons were arrested from Kailash
Nagar Chowraha on Friday night.
The suspects
have been identified as Govind Sharma, resident of Bareilly currently living in
Malukpeeth ashram, Manjeet Kumar Upadhyay, resident of Gazipur, and Ratnesh
Tiwari from Balia was arrested.
