Low grade stone used to build Yamuna Ghat angers Teerth Vikas Vice Chairman

UP Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad is building a ghat to be dedicated to great saint Brahmarshi Devaraha Baba. The ghat is being built in Vrindavan, on the opposite side of his Samadhi across the river Yamuna. The government has released Rupees Four Crore for this work to the irrigation department.

The poor quality under construction work at the newly built Devaraha Baba Ghat on Yamuna angered UP Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad Vice Chairman Shri Shailja Kant Misra.

He expressed his displeasure on the low grade red stone being used to build the Devaraha Baba Ghat in Vrindavan. He has ordered to replace the stones and gave strict warning to the contractor.

On Wednesday, Shri Shailja Kant Misra went for inspection to the ghat, which is under construction. He was dissatisfied over the quality of the stone brought for building the ghat. He expressed his displeasure to the Irrigation department officials, who are responsible to get the work done. He ordered to replace the stone brought for building the ghat.

He warned the contractor with strict action against him if he finds poor quality work again. He said that there will not be any compromise on the quality of work. If low grade material is used for the construction work again a penalty may be imposed against the contractor and an FIR will be lodged with the police.
