- Bhagvat Saptaha, Shatchandi Yajna to be held as part of Katyayani Peeth Centenary Celebrations

2023.01.27 (Vrindavan Today News): A Grand Eight Day long Centenary Celebration of Shri Katyayani Shakti Peeth will be held from 29th January to 5th February, 2023 at Radha Bag, Vrindavan. Different Religious and Cultural Events will be organized on this occasion.
Talking to the media Shri Vishnu Prakash Agrawal, the President of the Katyayani Devi Trust informed that the Centenary Celebrations will begin with a Shobha Yatra (Procession) of Shrimad Bhagvatam. Acharya Shrivatsa Goswami Maharaj from Shri Radharaman Temple will be distributing the nectar of Shrimad Bhagavatam from the ‘Vyas Peeth’ every day from 3.00 pm till 6.30 pm. Shrimad Bhagvat Saptaha will be held from 29th January to 4th February, 2023.
Trust Secretary Ravi Dayal informed, “Amid Chanting of Vedic Mantras and performance of other religious ceremonies, ‘Shatchandi Mahayagya’ (a special prayer offering for Divine Mother) will also be organized on this occasion”. Maa Katyayani Devi will be offered 56 delicacies of Chhappan Bhog during the Eight Day Celebration. Five special aratis will be offered on 5th February between 10 am to 11.30 am.
Several Spiritual and Political leaders are expected to participate in the grand event. The Ceremony will be marked by the presence of hundreds of devotees from all around the country.
Shri Katyayani Peeth is considered as one of the 52 Shakti Peeths which was identified by the Great Sage Swami Keshavananda ji in 1923 by the dictates of the ‘Divine Mother’ Katyayani.
