03 December, 2025 (Vrindavan Today News): Pilgrims visiting Vrindavan will soon enjoy a new dimension of adventure tourism along the serene banks of the Yamuna. In Mant’s Jahangirpura region, preparations are underway to introduce zip-lining and hot air balloon rides, modeled after popular adventure activities in the hill destinations of Uttarakhand. A Palwal-based agency is setting up the facilities, aiming to offer visitors an unforgettable blend of devotion and thrill.
The Yogi Government is leaving no stone unturned in boosting tourism accross Braj region. After launching various initiatives, such as the ropeway project in Barsana, and earlier experience of steamer service on the Yamuna and the proposed helicopter parikrma around Govardhan (which couldn’t take off) – the state continues to encourage new tourism possibilities. The upcoming adventure activities along the Yamuna reflect this broader vision for expanding spiritual tourism with modern experiences.
Until now, visitors at the Yamuna banks enjoyed boating, paragliding, camel rides, and horse rides. But with the expansion of adventure options, Vrindavan is emerging as a unique destination where spiritual experience meets recreational excitement.
Oyo Adventure Vrindavan, operated by a Haryana-based group from Palwal, has been providing these services for over a year and a half on the sandy plains across the Yamuna. Pilgrims arriving from various parts of India and abroad not only seek the divine atmosphere of Vrindavan’s temples but also immerse themselves in these adrenaline-filled activities.
Paragliding pilot Ashok Tewatia, trained in Himachal Pradesh, said the upcoming zip line will be similar to the ones found in Uttarakhand’s major tourist spots. The 500-meter-long zip line will allow participants to glide from one point to another above the riverside landscape. The activity will be priced at ₹500 per person and is expected to open by mid-December.
The much-awaited hot air balloon service is planned for launch in January. Each balloon will carry five to six passengers, rising up to 100 meters above the ground. The cost will be ₹1,200 per person, offering a mesmerizing aerial view of Vrindavan’s sacred skyline.
Tewatia added that the agency ensures a safe flying experience and even provides videos of the adventure so visitors can cherish their Vrindavan memories. The paragliding ride lasts 5–7 minutes, covering up to 3 kilometers, and costs between ₹2,500 and ₹2,700. Camel and horse rides, ranging from 200 to 400 meters, are priced between ₹200 and ₹500.
Agency manager Mohan Singh Tewatia shared that the adventure services were temporarily halted due to last month’s flooding, but with water levels now receding, activities have resumed smoothly over the past month.
With these new additions, Vrindavan continues to redefine the pilgrimage experience—offering not only spiritual enrichment but also vibrant recreational options along the sacred Yamuna.
