The festivities will commence with Laddu Holi in Barsana on February 24, followed by the world-famous Lathmar Holi in Barsana on February 25, and Lathmar Holi in Nandgaon on February 26. Beyond grandeur, this year’s Holi promises to be a remarkable confluence of cultural traditions.
Preparations have begun under the aegis of the Uttar Pradesh Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad (UPBTVP). More than a thousand artists will showcase Braj’s rich heritage through diverse art forms. Alongside local performers, folk artists from various states are being invited to enhance the cultural spectrum. Artists wishing to perform must register with the Department of Culture.
Cultural programmes will be organized at every location on the day Holi is celebrated there. To streamline performances, ten major groups comprising 120 artists will perform on large stages, while around 500 artists will present programmes on smaller stages. Additionally, 400 street performers will animate public spaces. Parishad CEO Suraj Patel informed that preparations are underway, with a key planning meeting proposed in Barsana on January 20.
