2026.01.29 (Vrindavan Today News): A review meeting was held at the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) regional office, located in the Gita Research Institute building in Vrindavan, chaired by Shri Shailja Kant Misra, Vice Chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad.
During the meeting, detailed deliberations were held on several key infrastructure proposals, including the construction of a suspension bridge to facilitate movement from the proposed parking site across the Yamuna to the Thakur Shri Banke Bihari Ji Temple, development of Yamuna river ghats, and the proposed ropeway project. Other important aspects related to pilgrim and tourist facilities were also discussed.
Special focus was given to the proposal for constructing a cable bridge at Jugal Ghat, along with discussions on parking facilities, public amenities, traffic management, and implementation of a one-way traffic system. Directions were issued to the Executive Engineer, Irrigation Department, to prepare a comprehensive action plan for beautifying, organizing, and enhancing the aesthetic appeal of various ghats along the banks of the Yamuna.
Officials concerned presented detailed designs of the proposed projects through on-screen presentations, providing in-depth information on their scope and execution. The meeting also reviewed the progress of ongoing works and outlined future action plans, with necessary guidelines issued to ensure timely and effective implementation.


Emphasizing the importance of providing robust facilities for devotees, tourists, and visitors, the administration reiterated its commitment to ensuring smooth and convenient darshan. All arrangements are being planned with devotees’ convenience as the top priority, aiming to promote religious, cultural, and tourism development in the Braj region.

P. Pathak; Executive Engineer (Irrigation) Shri Rajesh Kumar; Executive Engineer, Mathura-Vrindavan Development Authority, Shri Prashant Kumar; along with representatives from the executing agencies, Setu Nigam, Irrigation Department, and other concerned departments.
