2026.01.28 (Vrindavan Today News): Senior officials of the Uttar Pradesh Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad and the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) on Tuesday reviewed the Master Plan–2031 for the proposed Heritage City in the Raya Urban Centre area under YEIDA.
The review meeting was attended by Shailja Kant Misra, Vice-Chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad; Shailendra Kumar Singh, Divisional Commissioner; and Rakesh Kumar Singh, Chief Executive Officer of YEIDA. The officials held detailed deliberations on the vision and planning framework of the Heritage City, with a focus on land use, basic infrastructure, traffic management and environmental conservation.
During the meeting, concerned officials made a comprehensive presentation on the development proposals envisaged under Master Plan–2031. It was stated that special emphasis has been placed on the conservation of cultural heritage, strengthening of tourist amenities, development of a smooth and efficient transport system, and the integration of modern urban facilities in a balanced manner.
The reviewing authorities directed that all development works be implemented in a phased and time-bound manner strictly in accordance with the provisions of the Master Plan. They stressed the need to prioritise public interest and ecological balance, while also ensuring effective coordination among various departments to accelerate the execution of projects.


The meeting was also attended by District Magistrate Chandra Prakash Singh, Nagendra Pratap, Additional Chief Executive Officer of YEIDA, Suraj Patel, Chief Executive Officer of the Uttar Pradesh Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad, Jag Pravesh, Municipal Commissioner of Mathura–Vrindavan Municipal Corporation, Laxmi N, Vice-Chairperson of the Mathura–Vrindavan Development Authority, along with other senior officials from concerned departments.
The proposed Heritage City is envisioned as a major urban and cultural hub, aimed at promoting sustainable development while preserving the rich historical and spiritual legacy of the Braj region.
