In a bid to turn Pagal Baba Temple to a tourist attraction spot, the temple management has announced plans for the temple’s grand makeover. Built with exquisite white marble, the seven-story temple was a center of attraction in the twentieth century.
The temple revamp plan includes removing the concrete wall at the roadside, so that the temple can be visible from outside. The wall will be replaced with the steel barrier, making the visibility of the temple transparent. A water fountain show with light and music will also be installed to make it attractive to the visitors. The landscape of the temple front will be covered with the fountains, lawns, and gardens.
Pagal Baba Temple was one of the centers of attraction of the twentieth century. The temple was built in 1969 having its height of 221 feet. The unique feature of the Pagal Baba temple is the accommodating the deities of different gods in one campus. The temple is a seven storey building; each storey is dedicated to a different incarnation of Lord Krishna. The temple is popular for the exhibition depicting the incidents from the Hindu epics of Ramayan and Mahabharat. The temple was named after Shri Sheela Nand Ji Maharaj, who was fondly known as ‘Pagal Baba’ among his followers.
