Flower Mansion decorated for Lord Shri Raghunath at Shri Rang Mandir

2024.07.28 (Vrindavan Today News): During the summer festivities at Shri Rangnath mandir, a grand celebration of ‘Phool Bangla’ was organized for Shri Raghunath ji in his temple.

The Utsav vigrahas of Bhagvan Shri Ram (Raghunath) along with the deities of Lakshman and Janaki Devi were brought out and seated in the grand flower mansion constructed for the occasion. The deities of Shri Rangdeshik Swami ji and Shri Kulshekhar Swami was seated in the adjoining cabins of the flower mansion.

Rich fragrance bearing flowers were used to decorate the sanctum sanctorum of the Raghunath temple on Sunday evening. The Temple complex was decorated with aromatic flowers. The devotees were enthralled by the divine darshan of Shri Raghunath ji , Laxman ji and Sita Devi.

Water fountains were installed on the altar, which sprinkled cool and refreshing scented water for the pleasure of Lord. The deities were anointed with chandan (sandalwood) paste and adorned with jasmine flowers and summer clothes.  Lord was also offered special summer fruits like mango, watermelon, muskmelon, and litchi, as well as special summer drinks made from gulab and khas, all symbolizing the joy and abundance of the season.

Eminent Sitar player Prof. (Dr.) Lovely Sharma performed before the Lordships on this occasion. Prof. Sharma was the Chancellor of Raja Maan Singh University for Music and Arts. Dr. Darsh Adhari and Dr. Shiv Shambhu Kapoor also mesmerized the audience present there with their performance.

Talking to ‘Vrindavan Today’, Shri Rangnath Mandir’s CEO Smt. Anagha Shrinivasan said, “Among the three types of sevas, ‘Shringaar’ (decorating the deity), is subsequent to ‘Bhog’ (offering delicacies) and ‘Raag’ (expression of feelings mainly through various arts). These festivities are organized for the pleasure of Bhagvan Shri Rangnath and other deities of the temple.”

It should be noted that another grand phool bangla was constructed on 28th June for Bhagvan Rangnath, the principal deity of the temple on 28th June, this year. Thousands of devotees visited the temple to have the divine glimpse of the Lord enjoying the refreshing flowers.
