The devotional world is in a shock after the news spread. Devotees mourn the untimely death of the great spiritual leader.
In a heartbreaking incident, Dr. Vishakha Tripathi, the eldest daughter of the revered spiritual leader Jagadguru Kripalu Maharaj, passed away in a tragic road accident on the Yamuna Expressway near Noida on Sunday morning. Two of her sisters, Dr. Shyama Tripathi and Dr. Krishna Tripathi, are critically injured and are currently fighting for their lives at Apollo Hospital, Delhi. The spiritual community is engulfed in grief at the loss of a leader who had dedicated her life to service, education, and the betterment of society.
Dr. Vishakha Tripathi, aged 75, was traveling with her sisters to Delhi Airport in a private car when a speeding truck attempting to overtake toppled onto their vehicle near Dankaur on the Yamuna Expressway. Dr. Vishakha succumbed to her injuries on the spot. Her sisters were traveling in a separate vehicle, which collided with the first car due to the sudden mishap. They were immediately rushed to Delhi’s Apollo Hospital in critical condition.
The fatal accident has cast a shadow over the spiritual and philanthropic works initiated by Dr. Vishakha Tripathi. As the chairperson of Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat (JKP), she played a pivotal role in overseeing charitable activities across Vrindavan, Mangarh, and Barsana, particularly focusing on women’s education, healthcare, and empowerment.
Dr. Vishakha Tripathi became the chairperson of JKP after the demise of Jagadguru Kripalu Maharaj in 2013. Following her father’s vision, she led numerous charitable initiatives, including the establishment of schools and hospitals for underprivileged women and children. Under her leadership, JKP flourished as a beacon of hope, particularly for marginalized communities.
Dr. Vishakha was known for her deep commitment to societal welfare, earning her numerous national and international accolades. She was instrumental in expanding the legacy of her father, overseeing the operations of iconic spiritual centers such as Prem Mandir in Vrindavan and Kirti Mandir in Barsana.
According to Prem Mandir spokesperson Ajay Tripathi, Dr. Vishakha’s mortal remains will be brought to Vrindavan, where devotees will be allowed to pay their last respects. The body will be kept for public viewing for three days before the final rites are conducted on November 28 at the Moksh Dham on the banks of the Yamuna River.
