- The Light and Sound show at Kamsa Fort is expected to become a major attraction for devotees on their pilgrimage to Braj.
2023.06.22 (Vrindavan Today News): The District Administration in Mathura is working on a plan to bring Lord Krishna’s pastimes to life on the ancient wall of Kamsa Fort, located on the banks of the Yamuna River. The devotees will have the opportunity to witness these enchanting scenes through a light and sound show, while boating on the Yamuna. The District administration has commenced the implementation of this scheme, recognizing the significance of the Yamuna River and its ghats as places of worship.
The ghats along the Yamuna are popular destinations for pilgrims, who often enjoy boat rides during their visit to Mathura. While some ghats showcase the natural beauty of the surroundings, others are in a dilapidated condition. The Kamsa Fort is situated amidst these ghats, and although its walls may appear worn, the District Administration intends to transform the massive wall into a testament to Lord Krishna’s pastimes. Utilizing a light and sound system, the District Administration plans to project the various episodes of Lord Krishna’s life onto the wall. Devotees can witness these scenes while sitting on the banks of the Yamuna or boating, adding a new dimension to their spiritual experience.
The light and sound show at Kamsa Fort is expected to become a major attraction for devotees on their pilgrimage to Braj. Currently, visitors primarily focus on temple visits before returning home, with limited interest in staying longer. However, the upcoming show is predicted to captivate their attention and increase their fascination with the Yamuna River. Moreover, the show is anticipated to generate employment opportunities for the local population, benefitting the surrounding communities.
According to District Magistrate Pulkit Khare, the ongoing initiative to organize a light and sound show at Kansa Fort by the district administration is anticipated to have a positive impact on tourism in Mathura. This endeavor aims to elevate the spiritual experience for devotees and simultaneously stimulate the local economy. District Magistrate Pulkit Khare is actively supervising the advancement of this project.
