29th November, 2025 (Vrindavan Today News): A meeting of the Braj Vrindavan Devalaya Samiti was held at the ancient Vanshivat Temple in Vrindavan, where representatives from various temples and religious institutions shared their views. The speakers emphasized that Vrindavan is itself a sacred deity and temple-like city, whose boundary is the Vrindavan Parikrama Marg, encompassing an area barely three kilometers wide in aerial distance.
They highlighted that Vrindavan has been the primary place of worship for its traditional residents and has served as the spiritual abode of numerous rasikacharyas for the past 500 years. Since Vrindavan, located within the Panchkosi Parikrama, is considered a manifest divine form; where the Divine Couple, the sakhis, and the sacred groves exist in their eternal presence, the town should be granted the status of a Heritage City.

The committee resolved that no developmental activity altering the original and traditional form of Panchkosi Vrindavan should be undertaken. Any new development must take place outside the designated limits of Vrindavan. Strengthening the local traffic system was stressed to ensure that residents do not face inconvenience. The members also proposed imposing strict restrictions on vehicular movement near ancient temples and encouraged arriving pilgrims to visit temples on foot.
A strong demand was made to completely prohibit the entry of vehicles into the Parikrama Marg, as the movement of vehicles causes great difficulty to devotees performing the Vrindavan Parikrama.
The meeting was chaired by the Committee President, Shri Alok Krishna Goswami.
Among those present were Shri Krishna Chandra Goswami (Vibhas), Shri Rajat Goswami, Shri Dev Goswami, Shri Gopesh Kumar Goswami, Shri Gopal Krishna Goswami, Shri Govind Pandey, Shri Deepak Goswami, Mahant Shri Govind Sharma, Shri Anuj Sharma, Shri Rudra Pratap Singh, Shri Lakshmi Narayan Tiwari, Shri Brajesh Shukla, and Shubham Sikrawar, among others.
