Mathura, December 16, 2025 (Vrindavan Today News): A major road accident occurred late last night at around 4:30 a.m. on the Yamuna Expressway near milestone 127, while vehicles were travelling from Agra towards Noida. Due to dense fog and extremely low visibility, seven buses and three smaller vehicles collided, resulting in the death of four persons and injuries to 25 others.
District Magistrate Chandra Prakash Singh informed that all the injured have been admitted to hospitals for primary medical treatment. He directed the medical authorities to ensure the best possible healthcare facilities for the injured. The District Magistrate clarified that none of the injured persons is in critical condition and that they are receiving proper and timely treatment. He also stated that the remaining passengers were safely sent to their respective destinations using government vehicles.
Immediately after the accident, rescue and relief operations were carried out by the Police Department, Fire Services, NHAI, and the Health Department, who promptly reached the accident site and extended necessary assistance.


Taking cognizance of the incident, Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives in the road accident in Mathura district. The Chief Minister directed the district administration to ensure proper medical treatment for all the injured and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families of the deceased.
The Hon’ble Chief Minister also instructed officials to ensure immediate, adequate, and free treatment for the injured and to provide them with all possible assistance. He announced financial assistance of ₹2 lakh each to the families of the deceased and ₹50,000 each to the injured.
