The goal is to equip the goshala with state-of-the-art facilities and infrastructure to facilitate the maintenance, welfare, and preservation of over a thousand indigenous cattle at a time in a self-sustaining manner.

2022.01.31 (Vrindavan Today News): Industrialists and educationists have come forward to realize Bharat Ratna Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya’s dream of protecting cows. The Mahamana Gosamvardhan Kendra established by him in Mathura-Vrindavan in 1935 will soon embark on the journey of becoming self-reliant. The 700-acre goshala was inspired by the teachings and philosophy of Sant Hasananda Maharaj. Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya was himself a great proponent of cow protection and welfare.

The new roadmap was envisioned during a recent meeting organized by the Mathura-Vrindavan Hasanand Gochar Bhumi Trust. Trust chairman Lakshminarayan Goyal, vice chairman and GLA University chancellor Narayan Das Agrawal and secretary KML Pathak presided over the gathering, along with other bigwigs from the academia and industry.

Shri Agrawal shared his vision for developing the goshala as an inspiration for the coming generation. The goal is to equip the goshala with state-of-the-art facilities and infrastructure to facilitate the maintenance, welfare, and preservation of over a thousand indigenous cattle at a time in a self-sustaining manner.

Proposed solutions include cattle sperm bank, embryo transfer centre, milk processing and chilling plant, production of medicinal items using cow dung and cow urine, panchkarma and naturopathy centre, guest house with a capacity of 50 rooms, conference hall, and roundtable, yagyashala and octagonal pillar for performance of fire sacrifices and associated medical procedures, rainwater harvesting system, 5 lakh litre overhead water tank, office, temple, 100-acre sanctuary organic farming centre, fodder production facility, biogas plant, solar panels and a hospital for cows.

Additionally, the goshala will provide training to dairy farmers, cattle breeders, and related small businesses.
