Municipal Corporation officials and employees welcomed the new Municipal Commissioner. After visiting the Banke Bihari temple in Vrindavan, Shri Chaudhary, assumed office at the Municipal Corporation headquarters. Shri Shashank Chaudhary replaced Shri Anunaya Jha, who has been promoted as the District Magistrate of Maharaj Ganj. It looks like that Mathura – Vrindavan will benefit from the vast experience of Shri Chaudhary, who served as the Chief Development Officer in Meerut. He had also served in the position of the joint Magistrate in Kanpur and Amroha before joining as the Chief Development Officer in Meerut. Having served in two metropolitan areas, his expertise in dealing the core urban issues is expected to transform Mathura – Vrindavan into a clean and aesthetically pleasing city in line with its religious and historical significance.
Talking to the media, Shri Chaudhary emphasized the need for expanding the single lane roads to tackle the traffic congestion in the city. He intends to engage with the public and local businesses to discuss potential solutions for this problem.

He acknowledges the significant influx of visitors in Mathura – Vrindavan on weekends, leading to a shortage of sanitation workers.
