2024.12.02 (Vrindavan Today News) A Harinam Sankirtan was organized at the Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir in Vrindavan, to show support for the persecuted minorities in Bangladesh. The event saw participation from renowned spiritual leaders, devotees and well-wishers. The devotional event witnessed hundreds of devotees praying for peace, justice, and security for Hindus in Bangladesh. The gathering was not only an act of solidarity but also a peaceful protest against the injustices faced by the Hindu community.
The event, which was part of the Global Sankirtan was called by Shri Madhu Pandit Dasa, the Chairman of Global Hare Krishna Movement and President of Iskcon Bengaluru. Harinam Sankirtan was organized in all the centers run by Iskcon Bengaluru, including Vrindavan. The peaceful protest was held in response to the escalating violence against the Hindu community in Bangladesh, where temples have been targeted, and followers of Sanatana Dharma are under serious threat. Devotees expressed rising concerns over the persecution of Sanatan Dharma adherents in the neighboring nation, voicing solidarity and prayers for the oppressed.
Leading the Harinam Sankirtan in Vrindavan, Shri Yudhisthir Krishna Das, Vice President of Chandrodya Mandir, expressed grave concern over the growing violence against Hindus in Bangladesh. He appealed to the Bangladeshi government to ensure a safe and fearless environment where Hindus can freely practice their faith and traditions without facing oppression or intimidation from religious extremists.
Shri Mahant Phool dol Bihari Das Ji Maharaj, representing the Akhil Bharatiya Chatur Sampraday, emphasized the urgent need for unity within the Sanatan community. “Caste divisions are the greatest challenge to our unity,” he remarked, urging adherence to the principles of Lord Krishna as the solution to this growing menace.
Adding to this, Mahamandaleshwar Naval Giri Ji Maharaj highlighted India’s role in the crisis. “With a Sanatan-supportive government in power, all eyes are on India’s leadership to intervene and ensure justice and security for Hindus in Bangladesh,” he stated.
Meanwhile, Acharya Badrish, convenor of the Dharma Raksha Sangh, called attention to the lack of political response. He criticized opposition leaders for their silence on the atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh while creating uproars over domestic issues. “We must recognize who stands with us and who is against the nation,” he remarked pointedly.
In a stirring address, revolutionary saint Satyamitranand Maharaj declared, “Sanatan Dharma is the essence of our existence. It is time to confront anti-Sanatan forces with decisive action.” He further stressed the importance of utilizing social media to counter baseless criticisms of Sanatan Dharma in this digital age.
Shri Anant Veerya Dasa said, “As voices rise from spiritual hubs like Vrindavan, the global community is being called upon to take notice of these human rights violations and ensure that Hindus in Bangladesh can live with dignity, free from fear or discrimination.”
