Iron Gate Installed to control crowd at Vidyapeeth Chauraha

  • Growing number of people visiting Vrindavan has become a matter of concern. The District Administration is taking different measures to control it.

2023.03.29 (Vrindavan Today News): Inconvenience and chaos caused by the falling barricades at Thakur Banke Bihari temple have been a major concern for the police administration. To tackle the situation, the municipal administration has installed a large iron gate at the Vidyapeeth Chauraha on the way to the temple. The gate will remain closed during the time of darshan, and devotees will be directed towards the temple through the small gates on either side of the main gate. After darshan, the gate will be opened.

However, the installation of the gate has faced protests from local shopkeepers, who say that it will cause problems for them and the local people. The Bankebihari Business Association president and several other traders and local people have expressed their anger at the administration’s decision.

Despite the protests, the administration went ahead and installed large iron gates on the main roads of Banke Bihari temple on Saturday night, which further angered the people. They feel that the administration is creating new problems for the local people and traders in the name of controlling the crowd.

In the past, the barricading failed to control the crowd, leading to accidents and injuries. The Iron Gate is expected to provide better crowd control and improve the safety of the devotees visiting the temple.
