Major approach roads to Barsasna to be beautified

2024.07.19 (Vrindavan Today News): After Vrindavan, Barsana and Govardhan has become the major attraction for the tourists. It has been government’s priority that there should be more footfalls in all the pilgrimage centers of Braj. The U.P. Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad along with MVDA has been working for the overall development for these pilgrimage destinations.

The Mathura-Vrindavan Development Authority (MVDA) is set to enhance the aesthetic appeal of Barsana’s Radha Rani Temple roads and major intersections by installing façade lighting. This initiative aims to illuminate all the main intersections and temple routes, creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere for devotees.

As part of a project designed to beautify and decorate Barsana for both domestic and international visitors, the MVDA will install façade lighting along the main route to the Shriji Temple. Additionally, Sudama Chowk and Rangili Chowk will feature colorful façade lights. This beautification project will incur a significant cost, but once completed, it will draw the attention of devotees and enhance their pilgrimage experience. The project has received approval from the government, and the necessary funds have been allocated to the MVDA, which is currently undergoing the tender process.

The MVDA is undertaking several initiatives to make major religious sites in Braj, along with their access routes and historical locations, more attractive for tourists. This includes wall painting at various spots and the upcoming façade lighting installations.

Arvind Kumar Dwivedi, Secretary of the MVDA, stated that the authority is committed to enhancing the visual appeal of religious sites in Braj. In Barsana, façade lighting will be installed, and wall paintings will be created. The project will cover Rangili Chowk, Sudama Chowk, and the main route leading to Barsana’s primary temple.
