The Muslim side filed a response under the Places of Worship Act on Monday, questioning the grounds of the appeal.
Vrindavan, 2021-08-26 (Vrindavan Today News): The stage is gradually heating up in Shri Krishna Janmasthan Case. The fourth defendant appeared in the court on Monday to file a response under the Places of Worship Act on behalf of Shahi Idgah Masjid secretary, Tanveer Ahmad. The petitioning party appealed for hastening proceedings concerning the four cases that have been filed in the matter. The court had earlier given September 1 as the date of hearing.
Appearing as Thakur Keshav Devji’s devotee, advocate Mahendra Pratap Singh, on Monday, presented his arguments before the court. Keshav Dev was also represented by lawyers Mukesh Khandelwal and Vijay Bahadur in different cases. Registering his presence for the first time, Sunni Waqf Board chairman Zufar Ahmad Farooqui questioned the grounds of the appeal. His side was represented by advocate Neeraj Sharma, Abrar Hussain and Saurabh Shrivastava.
Narayani Sena secretary Manish Yadav requested the civil judge (senior division) to hear all cases under the matter as one. In response, the court has sought opinion from all the parties before taking action in this regard.
