Relentless in Dharma, United in Purpose: Yogi

Vrindavan Today | Bureau Report
7th April, 2026, Vrindavan: “Charaiveti, Charaiveti,” – move forward without pause, without fear, and without fatigue. With this powerful call, Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath urged society to carry forward the timeless journey of Sanatan Dharma with unwavering determination. He emphasized that this spiritual and cultural resurgence must not be hindered by personal interests, as no individual gain can ever be greater than the collective good of the nation and Dharma.
This climactic message came during his address at the grand celebration of the 452nd birth anniversary of the great Bhakti saint, Jagadguru Dwaracharya Shri Malookdas Ji Maharaj, at Shri Sitaram Nikunj Ashtayam Leela Mahotsav. The Chief Minister reflected on the saint’s enduring legacy and the role of India’s saintly tradition in safeguarding and revitalizing cultural consciousness through centuries of adversity.

Recalling the historical context of Malookdas Ji Maharaj’s appearance, he noted that over four centuries ago, when Sanatan Dharma faced grave challenges during foreign invasions, a divine light emerged in Kada Dham in Prayagraj. This light was not only spiritual but also civilizational, as it sought to awaken society and restore the ideals of cultural nationalism.
He highlighted Prayagraj as a sacred land where the world’s largest spiritual gatherings take place during Kumbh and Mahakumbh, drawing millions to the holy Triveni Sangam of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati. It is also the birthplace of Jagadguru Ramanandacharya, under whose Vaishnav tradition Malookdas Ji Maharaj was initiated.
The Chief Minister spoke of the saint’s extensive travels across India’s sacred pilgrimage sites including Braj, Ayodhya, Chitrakoot, Kashi, and Jagannath Puri, where he worked tirelessly to awaken spiritual and cultural consciousness. Living through the reigns of Mughal emperors such as Akbar, Jahangir, Shah Jahan, and Aurangzeb, Malookdas Ji Maharaj witnessed the challenges of his time but remained firm in his mission.

Drawing a parallel with Goswami Tulsidas, he recalled how the saint refused all attempts to bring him into royal courts and instead remained devoted to Lord Ram. The tradition of Ramleela, initiated by Tulsidas, continues even today as a powerful medium of public awakening, bringing communities together beyond differences of caste and social identity.
He emphasized that India’s spiritual strength lies in its living traditions, where thousands gather to listen to sacred discourses not for novelty but for inner transformation. From village Ramleelas organized through collective participation to large spiritual congregations, this shared cultural life strengthens unity across society.
Paying tribute to the inclusive teachings of Sant Ramanand, who accepted disciples from all sections of society including Sant Ravidas and Sant Kabir, the Chief Minister noted that Malookdas Ji Maharaj appeared in the twenty second generation of this great tradition. This lineage, he said, has always placed the nation and Dharma above sectarian divisions.
He described the unity of saints as a powerful force in India’s history, one that has helped the nation overcome many challenges and in recent times has led to the construction of the grand Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya after centuries of struggle.
Reflecting on the teachings of Malookdas Ji Maharaj, he highlighted his message of compassion and service. The saint taught that one who feels the pain of others as his own is truly wise, and that all living beings deserve love and care, an idea that lies at the heart of India’s spiritual heritage.
The Chief Minister also spoke about the spiritual radiance of Braj Bhoomi, where every particle is filled with the presence of Shri Krishna and Radha Rani. He mentioned ongoing efforts to preserve the heritage of sacred places such as Mathura, Vrindavan, Barsana, Govardhan, Gokul, Nandgaon, and Baldev, ensuring that development goes hand in hand with the protection of tradition.

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, he pointed to transformative initiatives such as the development of Kashi Vishwanath Dham, which now allows thousands of devotees to have darshan comfortably, reflecting a new approach where development is aligned with spiritual values.
Similarly, Ayodhya has undergone a remarkable transformation. From limited infrastructure before 2017, it has emerged as a grand spiritual city that evokes the memory of the Treta Yuga, crowned by the construction of the magnificent Shri Ram Temple.
Concluding with the same powerful message, the Chief Minister reiterated that this journey of spiritual awakening and national resurgence must continue without interruption. Inspired by the vision and sacrifices of saints like Jagadguru Malookdas Ji Maharaj, society must move forward with unity, dedication, and a firm commitment to Dharma and the nation.
