UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate the 10-day long Braj Raj Utsav in “Vrindavan Kumbh Mela site’ commencing from Sunday, November 10th.
Shri Shailjakant Mishra, the Vice Chairman of the UP Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad, told the reporters that the Union Minister for minority affairs, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi will be the chief guest at the grand event to be held on the bank of Yamuna in Vrindavan. The Chief Minister accepted the invitation extended by the ‘Parishad’ in Gorakhpur recently. The UPBTVP reportedly received a communiqué from the office of the Chief Minister asking for the details of the program. After the inauguration, the chief minister is also scheduled to visit different stalls of ‘Hunar Haat’ and ‘Shilpa gram’ in addition to the vegetarian food stalls serving items from all over the country.
‘Braj Raj Utsav’ is a joint venture of UP Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad and the Mathura District Administration. The festival of ‘Braj Raj Utsav’ will be organized from 10th – 19th November in Vrindavan. The district administration and the municipal corporation are ensuring the preparation at the fair is completed on time. Hunar Haat will be organized under the self-reliant India campaign of the Union Ministry of Minority Affairs and the Department of Handicrafts in the Braj Rajotsav. These stalls have been set up for approximately 200 artisans each from the central and state governments. These stalls will enable the artisans to increase their income by showcasing their handicrafts. The Food courts for catering, swings for children’s entertainment and cultural events are to be performed by the renowned artists during the Rajutsav.
DM Navneet Singh Chahal, Municipal Commissioner Anunay Jha along with officers of other departments inspected the Pawan Hans helipad to the fair site thoroughly. The officials of Municipal Corporation, PWD, Jal Nigam and Electricity Department were alerted to complete all the preparations on time.
‘Shri Shailjakant Misra, the Vice Chairman of the UP Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad said, “The Braj Raj Utsav will prove to be a milestone for the craftsmen and the artisans as the event will give a recognition to their work. It will play a significant role in promoting the Braj culture.”
The Municipal Commissioner informed that elaborate arrangements for cleanliness, drinking water and street lights etc. will be done. The CM will Chair the fourth board meeting of the ‘Teerth Vikas Parishad’ after inaugurating the fair. The CM will stay in the pilgrimage town for two hours.
The officials have devised a well-planned strategy to keep all the arrangements. The District administration directed the concerned departments to conduct patchwork on all the routes of VVIP movement to make the roads pothole-free.
A separate team of nodal officers have been appointed to be placed in charge of all the arrangements. Regarding the preparations, the DM has promised cleanliness, parking, drinking water, mobile toilet, etc. for the convenience of the devotees and tourists visiting the fair area. Proper arrangement of lighting is also being organized. A separate team of nodal officers have been designated to oversee the preparations of providing the basic facilities.
