Fell from the terrace of the fourth floor; serious injury to his private part found

25th September, 2026, Vrindavan: The death of a 25-year-old sadhak at Gau Kripa Kunj Ashram on Varah Ghat Road has raised several questions. Police are investigating the incident, while the post-mortem and forensic reports are awaited.
The deceased has been identified as Deepak Lodhi, also known as Rasik Dulari sharan, a resident of Jabalpur. He had reportedly come to Vrindavan in 2025 and was living at the ashram with other followers of Sant Premanand Maharaj.
According to the police, around 10:30 am on Friday, Deepak went to the terrace of the four-storey ashram and reportedly jumped from the fourth floor. He fell on the road near the building. Other sadhaks took him to hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
However, the case has attracted attention because of a serious injury to his private part. Police reportedly found the severed organ in his room along with a blood-stained electric grinder. Blood stains were also found on the staircase.
A forensic team collected samples from the scene and reportedly took the grinder for examination. Fingerprints are also being examined. Police are currently treating the incident as a suspected suicide, but they are investigating other possibilities as well. The post-mortem examination is expected to provide important information about the nature and timing of the injuries.
Mobile phone and CCTV under investigation
Police are examining Deepak’s mobile phone, including his recent calls, to find out whom he contacted before his death. CCTV cameras in and around the ashram are also being checked.
Investigators are speaking to other sadhaks living at the ashram to establish what happened in the hours before the incident.
Police will also question family members after they arrive in Vrindavan.
Several questions remain unanswered
The most important questions for investigators are when and how the injury occurred, whether it happened before or after the fall, and whether anyone else was present.
The forensic examination of the grinder, fingerprints, blood samples and other evidence may help establish the sequence of events.
Police have also reportedly found blood marks on the staircase. After the incident, some people from the ashram used water to clean blood from the road outside. Investigators will have to determine whether this affected the preservation of evidence.
Deepak was reportedly an electrician and also helped with electrical work at the ashram.
The Gau Kripa Kunj Ashram is said to have started functioning only recently and houses around 40–50 sadhaks.
For now, the exact circumstances of Deepak’s death remain unclear. The post-mortem, forensic examination, CCTV footage and mobile-phone investigation are likely to be crucial in establishing what happened.
Family Alleges They Were Not Allowed to Meet Him
Deepak’s mother and sister were seen crying outside the mortuary. His mother, Logon Bai, said that she had not spoken to her son for nearly two years. After receiving information that her son had fallen, the family reached Vrindavan during the night.
The family alleged that they had visited earlier as well to meet Deepak, but were not allowed to see him. Deepak’s brother-in-law, Sonu Patel, said that the family received a call from the ashram informing them that Deepak had fallen from the roof.
He alleged that instead of going to the hospital, the family was asked to come to the ashram. However, even after making them wait for several hours, they were not allowed to meet Deepak.
