2023.01.09 (Vrindavan Today News): The National Highways Authority of Indian (NHAI) recruited agency for the development of Braj 84 kos Parikrama has submitted its final report on the project. According to details available, the upcoming highway, designated NH108, will be 297 km-long and 30-mtrs wide, including a ‘kutcha marg’ of 6 mtr.
In a presentation held at the MVDA office, officials from the agency Sterling Indotech Consultants Pvt Ltd. briefed meeting chair, UP cabinet minister Ch. Laxminarayan Singh about the project details.
Post land acquisition and removal of encroachments, the 256.5 km 84-kos Parikrama Marg has been extended up to 297 km. The width of 30 mtr is subject to change, depending on the requirement of more space. As of now it has been decided to take the 6mtr kutcha marg in account. The highway will be greened and beautified with trees belonging to Shri Krishna’s time on both sides.
The inclusion of Beswa and Senai in the project, which will extend the highway by another 65km was also discussed.
UPBTVP vice chairman Shailja Kant Misra, MLC Thakur Om Prakash Singh, MLAs Puran Prakash, Rajesh Chaudhary, and Meghshyam Singh, MVDA vice chairman Nagendra Pratap Singh, SP (city) MP Singh, and DFO Rajnikant Mittal were present during the meeting, along with agency representatives led by Shivendra Kumar Singh.
