DM launches updated tourism website for Mathura

Mathura.nic.in will have updated and authentic information about all places and activities of tourists interest in the city

2023.01.07 (Vrindavan Today News): Visitors to Mathura will now be able to get authentic and latest information about all places and activities of interest on the newly-updated website mathura.nic.in. The online portal will provide details regarding travel to Mathura, temples with their routes and darshan timings, ghat, kunds, and sarovars, fairs and festivals, boarding and lodging facilities, restaurants, and shopping.

Videos, images and maps of tourist circuits like Brajdham guide and Mathura-Vrindavan map have been used to make the website more visually appealing. Darshan timings and route maps will help visitors to plan their travel to minimize wastage of time and resources. Accommodation can also be booked using contact details of hotels provided on the portal.

Information about authentic restaurants in Mathura-Vrindavan, Govardha, Barsana, Nandgaon, Farah, Kosikalan etc, and shops from where people can buy good quality poshaks, pedas and other famous crafts at fair rates has also been made available.

Contact details of deputy district officers for each division, municipal commissioner office, nagar panchayats, gram panchayats and nearby police station are also available for use in case of any emergency the visitor may face.

While launching the refurbished website DM Pulkit Khare said, “Tourists will be able to make the best use of their visit with the help of this website. In addition to ensuring convenience, it will also provide them with authentic information so that they can protect themselves from fraud.”

He was joined by CDO Manish Meena, ADM (F/R) Yoganand Pandey, city magistrate Suarabh Dubey, joint magistrate Dhruv Khadia, and district tourism officer DK sharma at the launch event.
