Mathura, May 16, 2026: District Magistrate Chandra Prakash Singh and Senior Superintendent of Police Shlok Kumar conducted an extensive ground inspection of the Braj 84-Kos Parikrama route to review preparations and ensure smooth arrangements for pilgrims, tourists, and devotees participating in the revered pilgrimage during the holy month of Purushottam (Adhik Maas).
During the inspection, the officials closely examined the parikrama route passing through villages and areas under Mant tehsil, including Umarara, Garhi Hulasi, Nasiti, Nagla Paisla, Nagla Dehriya, Harnol, Tentigaon, Surir, Sultanpur, Mirpur, and Pithora. Senior officials from various departments accompanied the inspection team, including Additional District Magistrate (Finance and Revenue) Dr. Pankaj Kumar Verma, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Mant Deepika Meher, Circle Officer Mant Sandeep Singh, District Panchayat Raj Officer Dhananjay Jaiswal, and Executive Engineer of the Public Works Department Gulveer Singh.
The District Magistrate and SSP reviewed arrangements related to security, sanitation, lighting, major halt points, roads, and culverts along the pilgrimage route. Officials of the Public Works Department were directed to ensure pothole-free roads and strengthen damaged stretches of the route. The administration also instructed departments to ensure adequate lighting throughout the parikrama path.
Emphasizing the importance of drinking water and healthcare facilities, District Magistrate Chandra Prakash Singh directed the District Panchayat Raj Department to arrange clean drinking water facilities at regular intervals along the route. Instructions were also issued for the installation of mobile and permanent toilets, as well as proper directional signboards for pilgrims. The administration further ordered the repair of damaged culverts and the construction of new culverts where existing structures are in severely deteriorated condition.


The District Magistrate also instructed SDM Mant Deepika Meher to organize medical camps at regular intervals and ensure 24×7 ambulance deployment during the pilgrimage.
Senior Superintendent of Police Shlok Kumar directed police officials and station heads to maintain robust security arrangements in view of the expected influx of devotees. Instructions were issued for the installation of CCTV cameras, barricading, traffic diversion measures, and deployment of adequate police personnel. Authorities were also directed to establish lost-and-found centers and maintain continuous patrolling near ghats, rivers, and canals.
The administration further emphasized cleanliness arrangements along the route. District Panchayat Raj Officer Dhananjay Jaiswal was instructed to ensure regular sanitation work, installation of dustbins, and temporary resting stalls for pilgrims. Necessary directions regarding community kitchens and food distribution camps were also issued.
During the visit, the District Magistrate interacted with local residents and parikrama participants to gather feedback regarding existing arrangements. Stressing coordinated efforts among departments, he stated that the Braj 84-Kos Parikrama is a world-renowned religious pilgrimage and preserving its dignity remains a top priority for the administration. He added that pilgrims should not face any inconvenience while undertaking the sacred parikrama.
