CM Yogi inaugurates PET – CT scan machine

2023.07.26 (Vrindavan Today News):  “Without fulfilling our duties to ourselves, our society, and our nation with honesty, we have no right to claim ourselves as truly religious individuals” said Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath while inaugurating the PET –CT scan machine at the Rama Krishna Mission Sevashram in Vrindavan on Wednesday.

CM Yogi Adityanath inaugurated an ultra modern PET-CT scan machine at the Ramakrishna Mission Seva Ashram in Vrindavan. The machine, a boon for cancer patients, was unveiled amidst Vedic chants, symbolizing the fusion of modern science with age-old wisdom.

As the Chief Minister examined the PET-CT scan machine, he engaged in meaningful discussions with the medical staff and doctors, keenly understanding its functionalities and unique features. Expressing his gratitude to Kotak Mahindra Bank for generously funding the project, he emphasized that this noble endeavour would provide cancer patients with access to cutting-edge healthcare at affordable rates.

During his address at the Swami Vivekananda Auditorium, CM Yogi Adityanath commenced his stirring discourse with chants of “Radhe Radhe” and “Vrindavan Bihari Lal Ki Jai,” invoking the blessings of the Divine. He paid tribute to Swami Vivekananda, Sri Maa Sarada Devi, and Sri Ramakrishna Dev by lighting lamps and offering flowers.

Addressing the gathering at the auditorium, CM Adityanath said, “Today marks the glorious culmination of 125 years of Ramakrishna Mission’s illustrious journey, and the inauguration of the PET-CT scan machine at the Sevashram adds another feather in its cap of Seva. It is a golden opportunity for the humanity.”

 He emphasized that the work carried out by the Mission, following the path laid down by Swami Vivekananda, inspires and motivates generations to serve others with dedication and selflessness, a true embodiment of devotion.

The Chief Minister stressed that the essence of spirituality goes beyond mere rituals and worship; it is interwoven with duty, morality, and discipline. He reminded the audience that adherence to self-discipline is what sets humans apart from animals.

Speaking about the surge in tourism in the state, CM Yogi Adityanath credited the government’s transformative efforts in the healthcare sector. “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the healthcare domain has witnessed a significant revolution,” he remarked.  He pointed to the success of the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) and the Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana (MMJAY), which have extended healthcare coverage to millions, ensuring that even the most vulnerable segments receive quality medical services.

He acknowledged the challenges faced earlier in accessing private healthcare, lauding the significant improvement in the scenario with the implementation of PMJAY and MMJAY. “Healthcare should be made accessible to all, irrespective of their socio-economic backgrounds,” asserted CM Yogi Adityanath.

During the pandemic, Uttar Pradesh witnessed a rapid expansion of critical care facilities, with ICU beds now available in all 75 districts, where they were previously lacking in 36 districts. “The Maha Yogi Health Melas conducted every week at Primary Health Centers and tele-consultations in remote villages have brought healthcare closer to the rural populace,” he added.

CM Yogi Adityanath commended the tireless service provided by the Sevashram during the pandemic, terming it unforgettable and inspirational. The state government remains committed to supporting their noble endeavours and other organizations engaged in exemplary service. He acknowledged the generous contribution made by Kotak Mahindra Bank, expressing gratitude for their commitment to uplifting society through CSR initiatives.

In conclusion, the Chief Minister emphasized the need for inner purification through selfless service, just as Swami Vivekananda had envisioned. “This divine land of Vrindavan, where Lord Krishna’s presence is palpable, is now becoming a beacon of hope for the nation and the world,” he said.

He urged everyone to draw inspiration from such noble missions and work towards a healthier and more compassionate society.
