Vrindavan, 2021-10-23 (VT): The Uttar Pradesh Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad (UPBTVP) has instituted a grand 10-day festival that will henceforth be known as Braj Rajotsava to showcase the cultural richness of the region. The event being organized from 10-19 November at the Kumbh Mela Ground was conceptualized as a ‘Celebration of Holy dust of Braj’ with a vision to preserve and promote the varied arts and crafts of Braj that are the pride of the Braj region.
A variety of cultural programmes have been planned under the initiative to provide a platform to artists from all across the region. In addition to cultural stalls and exhibitions, the fair will provide scope for recreational activities through food and shopping. Street vendors, ODOPs (One District One Product) and MSME (Micro Small and Medium Enterprise) will be facilitated through special schemes designed with a larger vision to boost to the local economy.
With the intent to putting together a stellar show a huge stage has been constructed at the Kumbh Mela Ground. A laser show will be set up by the Yamuna ghats beautified with colourful lights. Adequate provision for drinking water, electricity, cleanliness, and parking are being made.
