Along with Mathura-Vrindavan, the master plan will be implemented in Kosi, Chata, Govardhan, Farah and other adjoining regions.

Mathura, 2020-09-27 (VT): The Mathura-Vrindavan Development Authority is working on the development master plan for the next ten years, beginning 2021 (2021 – 2031). Government appointed agencies are using GIS satellite imagery to survey the area under MVDA’s jurisdiction. The plan will be based on this survey.

Speaking in this regard, MVDA vice chairman Nagendra Pratap said that the data from different government departments such as Municipal Corporation, water board, irrigation department, Mathura refinery and others will be complied and used for the survey and planning. A census of shops, homes and businesses will also be taken. The survey is expected to be completed by the end of September. In the coming months, citizens will be encouraged to come up with both objections and recommendations.

Pratap further informed that with the validity of the previous master plan coming to an end this year, the MVDA is speeding up work on the one for 2021-2031. Future development and other projects will be approved based on the updated land use pattern as per the new survey. Along with Mathura-Vrindavan, the master plan will also be implemented in Kosi, Chata, Govardhan, Farah and other adjoining regions.
