2023.01.06 (Vrindavan Today News): The proposed Banke Bihari Corridor promises to ‘change the face of Vrindavan’ should it materialise as planned. The 8-member team constituted at the directives of the supreme court has identified the need to widen three approach roads to the temple by 25-30 mtr, alongside other smaller lanes that will also be developed as part of the project.
These include roads leading to the temple from Vidyapeeth Circle, Jugal Ghat and the VIP Road. The narrow lane from Radha Saneh Bihari Temple to Banke Bihari will also be widened.
In addition to upgrading of access roads and other passages, the Corridor also envisages all-round development of the region with provision for shops, shoe stalls, CCTV cameras, barriers, parikrama path, public amenities, tourist facilitation centre, a shopping complex, and multipurpose hall for visitors.
MVDA secretary Rajesh Kumar, ADM Yoganada Pandey, city magistrate Saurabh Dubey, Kranti Shekhar Singh, Pravin Malik, and PWD engineer BC Mishra were present during the survey.
