Rajasthani Folk Singer Padma Shri Anwar Khan performs at Radharaman Temple

Ustad Anwar Khan Manganiar (60) was conferred with Padma Shri in 2020

Vrindavan, 2022-05-31 (Vrindavan Today News): Noted Rajasthani folk singer, Padma Shri Ustad Anwar Khan Manganiar performed at Shri Radharaman Mandir on Monday evening in the presence of dignitaries and a huge crowd of devotees. Khan arrived at the venue along with his troupe late last evening. The recital began after a round of darshan and pujan. 

Padma Shri Khan devoted a string of his folk compositions in the service of Thakurji. He was assisted by Raees Khan, Rafeeq Khan, Roshan Khan, Dileep and Razaak. As the troupe churned out melodies one after another, enthralled devotees chanted victory to Radharaman and clapped in appreciation.

Ustad Anwar Khan Manganiar (60) was conferred with Padma Shri in 2020. Born in Baiya village of Jaisalmer, and currently a resident of Barmer, Khan has performed in over 55 countries. He was also felicitated with the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award by the president of India in 2017. In addition to devotional and popular performances he has lent his voice to a couple of Hindi movies as well.
